WHAT IT DO FIGHTERS???????????? Hope we are all having a fantastic Friday and we all can recognize for a moment how blessed we are to even be here right now. THANK YOU GOD!
What’s the business today? We talkin bout “Showing Up”. What do I mean by that? Showing up for yourself every day. This is the VERY LEAST that one can do for themselves every day.
Every morning that you wake up is an opportunity to make a DECISION right then & there to show up for yourself. In big ways of course, but also in small ways too. Remember, we gotta build ourselves up first so we naturally just show up for ourselves more.
The way to do this is root yourself in practices that are SIMPLE. Build up daily practices through daily choices that become a part of your day to day. For example, I walk OUTSIDE ( WE OUTSIDEEE!!! ) This means I get a good amount of movement in (I be WALKIN, like 4-6 miles a day minimum) & I’m also getting the benefits of being outside in the sun, in a more NATURAL environment.
I have cultivated a large part of my daily mindset around living like this. Okay, movement has been gotten. What’s next? I need to breathe & meditate (also very simple, not super time consuming practices). Okay, so we sit down for 10 mins each, 20 mins total. Nice.
Four practices knocked out & the by product? Discipline is being built each time I show up and simply commit myself to engaging in the activity. Being present & doing it.
I aim to fulfill many daily goals like this every day. I get all these done? You can be sure I got 1% better AT LEAST. We do these types of practices & set ourselves up to go and attack the rest of our day.
No matter the circumstances of your day, find ways to SHOW UP for your daily practices at the very least. Even if you have to shorten them, SHOW UP & DO THEM build that discipline in your life. Do as much as you can, as often as you can.
It all adds up. Keep making small choices each day to build momentum. Then all of a sudden the snowball starts to roll down the mountain. When we walk we put one foot forward then the other foot follows. Such is true with the way we live our life.
You must have discipline & the will to be consistent each day, but also be flexible enough to move and flow with what comes to you in each day. You have a hectic morning? Okay, shorten the practices OR do them later in the day. Just get them in. Can be any type of practice. Lifting, reading, writing, cold exposure, whatever it is for you.
You want a secret? This type of discipline & will power becomes expeditiously more powerful when you are so rooted in it that you show up even when things aren’t working in your favor. When you can show up even when you are losing, that is when you are at your most dangerous.
